Originally founded as an abbey in the 12th century, our historical buildings have had an interesting life. The Abbey was surrendered to King Henry VIII during the dissolution of the monasteries, and the future Queen Elizabeth I even lived here as a child.

Coombe Abbey’s marquee wedding venue stands proudly on the East Terrace of The Abbey grounds, boasting it’s own bar and stage area, as well as windows that offer views of the neighbouring land. It also comes fully carpeted, and features glimmering chandeliers, luxurious ivory lined walls and a shimmering star cloth that is draped directly above the dance floor.

Available to hire all year round, our magnificent marquee provides the perfect setting for a wedding breakfast or evening reception that's exclusive for the whole day.
